Tasha Cobbs Leonard Celebrates Double GRAMMY Nominations for TASHA and Church Featuring John Legend
Congratulations pour in for 3x GRAMMY Award-winning gospel powerhouse Tasha Cobbs Leonard, who has just earned two nominations for the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, bringing her career total to an impressive 11 GRAMMY nominations.
The celebrated worship leader received nods in the following categories:
Best Gospel Album for her groundbreaking studio debut, TASHA (Motown Gospel)
Best Gospel Performance/Song for her soul-stirring collaboration Church featuring John Legend

Released in the summer of 2025, TASHA represents a defining chapter in Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s remarkable career, her first-ever studio album after more than a decade of acclaimed live recordings. The project was produced by her husband and longtime collaborator, Kenneth Leonard Jr., and showcases a daring fusion of gospel, R&B, pop, hip-hop, and even bluegrass, all tied together by her signature anointed vocals and heartfelt storytelling.
Since its release, TASHA has received widespread critical praise from outlets such as The New York Times, Billboard, People, and Essence, hailing it as one of the most innovative gospel albums of the year.
The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart, while the lead single “Do It Anyway” climbed to the top of both the Billboard Gospel Airplay and Mediabase Gospel charts. Her John Legend collaboration, Church, continues to gain traction, currently holding the No. 7 spot on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart.
